Designed for learners who have successfully navigated phases I through IV of the Picture Exchange Communication System using traditional PECS books, PECS IV+ represents the natural next step in their communication journey. Developed by Pyramid Educational Consultants, renowned for their evidence-based PECS approach, PECS IV+ empowers users to construct a multi-picture Sentence Strip™ using a dedicated Sentence Starter™ page and up to 30 digital PECS book pages to facilitate in-app voice communication capability.

Customize Each Book:

• Open or close the dedicated Sentence Starter page with a single touch
• Create 1-30 tabbed pages with up to 28 pictures per page
• Personalize each page by specifying the number of VELCRO® strips, color, category icon, and/or number of pictures per page

Customize Pictures:

• Select from included Pics for PECS images or add images from your photo library and the web
• Edit text on pictures or adjust text placement on or around the image
• Vary picture sizes as desired
• Utilize the search function within the Pics for PECS library for ease of access

Speech:

• Utilize customizable synthesized speech (AVSpeechSynthesizer) or record personalized speech messages
• Incorporate the research-backed constant time delay method for 'reading' the Sentence Strip to encourage speaking opportunities for users

Select from Included Profiles or Create New Profiles to Customize:

• Determine how pictures are manipulated: tap, drag, or both
• Select your preferred method to clear/reset the Sentence Strip
• Choose the visibility status of the Sentence Starter page
• Select reading direction: left to right or right to left
• Opt for when to read the Sentence Strip: after each picture selection or upon completion with a single tap of the "Speak" button
